Your placenta is processed, dehydrated, and ground into capsules that you take like a supplement in your postpartum period. Many mothers report benefits including improved mood, better energy levels, and more stable hormones during those intense early weeks, though it's worth noting that research is still emerging and results vary person to person.

After your baby is born, your placenta is stored in a container in your fridge (I'll walk you through exactly how). I arrange pickup, process everything in my dedicated preparation space, and return your finished capsules to you, typically within 48-72 hours.

When handled and processed correctly, yes. I follow strict food-safe handling protocols and bloodborne pathogen protocols throughout the entire process from pickup to delivery. Your placenta is processed alone, never alongside anyone else's, and your capsules are clearly labelled and returned only to you.

Included in the placenta encapsulation process is a placenta print and dehydrated cord keepsake shaped into a heart. These colours are customizable. For an extra fee or independently, you may choose to have a necklace made with dehydrated fragments of the cord and/or placenta and some dried florals/gold leaf, sealed in resin. Design will be discussed ahead of time.

Before your due date, ideally in your third trimester. You want this sorted well in advance so there's no scrambling after baby arrives. Once labour starts, the last thing you want to be doing is making arrangements and risk being denied due to availability restrictions. On some occasions, I may take last minute bookings.

It varies depending on the size of your placenta and the method you choose for processing, but most mothers receive between 100-200 capsules.
